Glex - a groundbreaking software company focusing on advanced analysis and collaboration through data visualisation - today announced that Glex has been awarded a contract with TotalEnergie, a multi-energy company that produces and markets energies on a global scale.
The delivery includes our newly created Relinquishment Atlas App that gives users access to a set of curated exploration data through a streamlined web application. The app also features an AI-powered document search, delivered by a third-party.
TotalEnergie has the option to expand the project to include data from the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), which will expand the project financially.
Glex’s CEO Jørgen Engen Napstad says: “TotalEnergie is a leading global company and has been a front-runner in the industry for decades. Being given the opportunity to develop new technology for such a sophisticated client is a huge milestone and a great opportunity for Glex.”
As a new service in our product portfolio both parties have the option to terminate the project after an evaluation period, due to normal business standards.

OKEA, one of Norway's fastest growing oil and gas companies, has signed a service agreement for Glex Energy software platform as a collaboration and analysis tool for their subsurface activities. The contract is ongoing with annual renewal.
"For Glex, OKEA is an important signing and a strong signal, not least because the recognition of our technology and software from a forward-looking company like OKEA. The assignment is an important confirmation that Glex's solution covers many of the industrial needs that will be central in the years to come", says CEO of Glex, Jørgen Engen Napstad.
It is primarily the specialist communities linked to exploration and production that will use Glex Energy. In addition, OKEA will have access to extensions such as our Portfolio Map, Production Dashboard and the new Relinquishment Atlas. The contract was signed after a thorough testing period.
Glex’s mission is to give Energy companies quick and easy access to relevant data from a growing number of sources. Reducing the time it takes to find and share data in professional environments and across departments is a significant factor in becoming more efficient as an organization. By visualisation of company data in combination with public data and third party data like for example Wittemann E&P, Glex can stimulate to deeper insight by co-workers in an easy-to-understand interface.
In the long term, Glex's ambition is to deliver Glex Energy to most participants in selected license communities on the Norwegian continental shelf, in order to contribute to better communication and efficiency between the companies participating in the licenses.
"There is considerable potential in customers such as M Vest Energy, OKEA and Lime Petroleum being participants in the same licenses, and we are working to adapt Glex Energy to become a platform that becomes an arena for projects across companies", concludes Jørgen Engen Napstad .
