BRAZIL'S LPG DEMAND TO REMAIN STEADY IN 2023
Brazil's LPG sales (~consumption) is estimated to be around 7.35 MMt in 2022, down 1% from the previous year and 2% below 2020, according to Brazil's Energy Research Office EPE. The small drop is mainly due to year-over-year increases in international prices which also increased the domestic price.
Most of the LPG demand in the country comes from residential cooking. Consumption in the sector rose sharply in 2020 as households used more cooking fuel during Covid-19 lockdowns. Disbursements of emergency social payments in that year also boosted consumption.

VLGC: Rates sharply higher ahead of BW LPG and Avance Q4 next week
• Driven by increasing cargo demand out of the MEG, VLGC rates are once again
bouncing – with both spot and FFAs up significantly yesterday. TCE rates are
now above USD 80,000/day, and Q1 is clearly going to average above Q4
• Driven by very low domestic demand (low nat gas prices, mild winter) the price
spread between Asia and the US is now at its highest for this time of the year
since 2015 – and we should clearly see full export through March and into April
– which in recent years have been the only period with decent risk of
cancellations due to too narrow price spreads.
• With reports of dual-fuel newbuilds being delayed and some even struggling
with downtime upon delivery – the market outlook through Q2 looks strong
• While our Q1 estimate of USD 70,000/day looks fair, Q2 and Q3 of 30 –
25,000/day appear conservative – and although we still struggle to recall any
commodity shipping market that has successfully absorbed ~15% fleet growth
in ~12 months – it will take longer for the negativity to set in than we thought
BWLPG: Focus on dividends, soon to be net debt free…
• We expect EBITDA of USD 156m and EPS of USD 0.79 for Q4, from average
VLGC rates of ~USD 56,000/day. They are rumoured to have sold another 3x
older VLGCs in recent months – which would effectively make them debt free
by Q1. Expect focus on the expanding trading business – and potential
acquisitions. At USD 70,000/day in Q1 we could see them generate near USD
1/share of EPS there as well – and the majority of this should be paid out as
dividend. BW LPG’s NAV is now ~NOK 120 and with our revised estimates EPS
for 2023 would be USD 1.12 (roughly twice our November-22 estimate). So –
with that number reflecting conservative H2’23 assumptions – current
consensus of 1.04 appears conservative. BW LPG is a star, having delivered
an average ROE of 15% since IPO in 2013. Our rating: HOLD TP 92
AGAS: Halfway through its newbuilding program
• We expect EBITDA of USD 47m and EPS of USD 0.4 from average VLGC rates
of USD 50,500/day. Again, expect most of this to be paid out as dividends, and
our 2023 EPS est. should head towards USD 0.7 (vs. 0.34 in November and
current consensus of 0.8). Due to its 6x newbuilds that now are being delivered
(2x 2022, 2x 2023 and 2x 2024), AGAS has more leverage than BW LPG, but

2023, eps, 0,7 us virker veldig lavt, eps for q1 med rater på 70000 blir vel rundt 0,7, skal Avance gå i break even resten av året.
I q3 skrev Avance at i 2023 med scrubber rater på 60000 us og uten 54000 med det blir det vel 20 kr i eps

Det er PAS daglige rapport om shipping. Og PAS er de jeg syns og har sett treffer best av analytikerstanden på shipping. Selv om jeg innimellom er uenig i deres vurderinger.

Beste shipping segment lpg men synes ikke på aksjekursen, håper de har satt noen ett års kontrakter på mellom 50-60000 pluss scrubber.

Tror på en femmer og en 7-8 kr i q1, casher også inn på et shipsalg i q4, hvis de deler ut det så blir det mer.
Snitt på q1, tror jeg mellom 60-65000 us da de har to ship på noen og tredve pluss et på 47000 som drar ned snittet.

Q1 over 90% på rater 55000 og q2 over 60 % til meget attraktive rater, bare det gir en eps på 11-12 kr.
Avance sa også at cost of buying the fleet is 11 us dvs over 110 kr så der ligger Nav med andre ord
Stor forskjell på Pareto og Avance sin Nav, mener også Petter Haugen hadde over 100 i Nav for noen mnd siden

Tenkte å selge på 75, kjøpte på dippen i jan på 54 så det hadde vært bra, men med 90% på 55000 us på q1 og over 60% på veldig bra rater i q2 så får vi jo 18-19 kr på tre utbytter garantert og med Nav på 110 og med rater på over 80000
Også to nye ship på vannet, et har begynt å dra inn penger allerede og det andre kommer på høye rater blir høyere eps av det
