Virker lovende det her ja.

I think it is very positive, especially when you look at the figures for EV sales only rising! I just cannot see that mining Lithium can keep up with demand! And I can only envisage a future when EV vehicles outsell fossil fuel vehicles!

Yes, do keep it on your watchlist as I think it is an exciting time for the mining of Lithium! and It will be the next oil.

Oh, I don't doubt it. In fact, I think most people will underestimate the demand for Lithium until shit hits the fan. I can definitely see this stock gaining tremendous momentum moving forward. Being so early minimizes the risk also, so almost nothing but potential.

In Norway, our government has set a goal of not selling any more fossil fuel cars after 2025. Now that's just two more years but I seriously doubt that will happen. The year 2030 - 2035 is mentioned as a more realistic goal.

80% of car owners actually already have an EV so I'm feeling kind of left out with the fact that I still drive a fossil-fuel car. I will get one as well though, especially with these ridiculously high gas prices. Filled up my car for almost 24 NOK today ($2,4)... I remember a time when we paid more than half of that price.

Yeah, I did just that and went in with Euro 16k and came out with 500k shares, I know it's a bit of a gamble, but I think all the signs are positive so not so much risk!
I believe Norway is at the forefront of the world when it comes to owning EV cars and the rest of the world will follow simply because they will be forced to do so because of CO2 policies by most governments, and as you also mentioned the very high gas prices!!
Try and keep your gas-guzzling car as long as you can because the more EV's produced the lower the purchase price :) I remember back in the early '70s a friend purchased a digital watch for £200 and back then that was over a month's wages, but 5 years later you could find them in lucky bags :)
Anyway, dip your toe in the water and if you feel the temperature is just right; then take your bath ;)

Congrats on your big investment. I only wish I could do that. And I don't think it's too much of a gamble at all, especially when we're still so early. A low entry price is all that matters in this game, and it's only up and to the right from here, judging by the forecasts. So I don't see much of a risk at all, only potential. We know the future is electric not fossil fuel.

Yes, Atlas are a very good company to invest in, but I wish I had a time machine and returned to 2020 when the share was $0,60 and not as it is today at $34 !! Now we are here today and there is absolutely no need for a time machine to purchase shares in Savannah Resources at Euro 0,0475 also I am very confident that in a short period of time, we are looking at a few Euro a share and depending on how many hundreds of thousand shares you buy, you can retire no matter what age you are :))

Huge lithium mine gets key greenlight in Portugal

Share with others
Portugal's environmental protection agency gave a green light Wednesday for a massive lithium mine that could become western Europe's biggest and give a boost to the continent's growing electric car industry.

The southern European nation is thought to have the continent's largest reserves of lithium, a vital raw material to produce the batteries that power electric vehicles.

With lithium mostly mined in Australia and South America and China dominating the supply chain, the environmental regulator's decision could bolster Europe's effort to secure independent supplies of the coveted resource.

The agency said the Barroso project in northern Portugal, which is owned by British group Savannah Resources, obtained a "positive declaration of environmental impact, under several conditions".

The original proposal was "considerably modified" for the protection of waterways and biodiversity, the agency said in a statement.

Savannah Resources said the approval was a "key decision" allowing the project to move to the next stage of the environmental licensing process.

"This is an extremely important step forward, not only in the development of the Project, but also in the development of the lithium raw material industry in Portugal," said Savannah chief executive Dale Ferguson.

Environmentalists and local residents opposed to the project in the rural area criticised the agency's decision.

The chosen site "is not good" given its location near inhabited areas and "pollution risks", said Francisco Ferreira, president of Zero, an environmental group.

Environment Minister Duarte Cordeiro sought to ease concerns, saying the agency's decision will "minimise the impact on the environment".

In addition to the Savannah project near the town of Boticas, Portuguese firm Lusorecursos is planning its own in the neighbouring town of Montalegre while the government has launched an international tender for offers to prospect for lithium in six regions of Portugal.

The European Union is racing to build up its own supply chain to produce electric vehicles, from mining raw materials to building battery factories -- as it has set a 2035 deadline to phase out the sale of new fossil fuel vehicles.

Savannah Resources. The share to retire on no matter what age you are!

LONDON (Reuters) - Livista Energy said on Thursday it plans a lithium refinery for electric vehicles (EV) batteries in Germany that should launch production in 2026 and has partnered with French oil and gas services provider Technip Energies to design the plant.
Luxembourg-based Livista said it initially aims to refine 40,000 tonnes of lithium annually at the plant, or enough for batteries for around 850,000 EVs, with the potential to double capacity over time.

The European lithium refiner said that recycled lithium from batteries should make up 50% of the plant's capacity by 2030.

"The capacity of our plants to accept recycled battery materials will make us a key part of the circular economy and will support our customers in sourcing lithium directly in

Europe," Livista chief operating officer Jean-Marc Ichbia said in a statement.

Livista did not specify a location for the plant.

Technip will design the plant and prepare construction plans - including for a potential expansion - and design a second plant in another, undisclosed location, the two companies said. Technip will also provide a cost estimate for constructing the refinery.

China is by far the world's largest lithium producer and refiner, and the European Union has been pushing for its own homegrown lithium industry to support the transition to EVs.

Last week mining company Savannah Resources said Portuguese authorities had approved its environmental impact assessment (EIA) for what could become Western Europe's largest lithium mine.

The EU's plans for battery independence also include recycling battery materials like lithium.

As lithium mines and refineries take years to develop, building out European supply will be a lengthy process.
