• Polysilicon Prices: The downward trend in Polysilicon prices has continued. After a significant drop in January, prices bounced back in February following Chinese New Year, but now seem to have stabilized on a downward trend. Polysilicon supply should continue to climb as businesses, including Daqo New Energy, GCL, Dongli, Runergy, and East Hope, release capacity and initiate production between May and June. Energytrend expects prices to continue to fall as some businesses have started negotiating for their May orders.
As communicated in our previous send-outs we expect that Polysilicon price to drop throughout 2023 as a lot of new supply is coming online, far exceeding expected demand.
